The Nine Rings given to Men in The Lord of the Rings possess dark power, designed by Sauron to manipulate those who wear them. Celebrimbor, a master Elven smith, forged these rings without realizing Sauron’s hidden intentions. Sauron took advantage of Men’s ambitious nature, offering these rings to kings and leaders with promises of extended life, wealth, and invisibility. However, these gifts came at a cost. The rings corrupted their wearers over time, making them greedy, arrogant, and bound to Sauron’s influence. Unlike the Dwarves, who resisted his control, Men fell completely under his power once the One Ring was forged. This domination twisted them into the Nazgûl, or Ringwraiths, immortal servants of the Dark Lord. As Ringwraiths, they lost their former identities, existing only to serve Sauron and his will, unable to truly die until his power was broken.
