The Clash of Queens: Rhaenyra vs. Alicent

After learning of Rhaenyra's plans to campaign against Princes Aemond and Daeron, Queen Alicent desperately sought peace. 

She proposed dividing the Seven Kingdoms between Rhaenyra and Aegon II, with her son ruling the stormlands, westerlands, and the Reach from Oldtown, while Rhaenyra would govern the crownlands, riverlands, the Vale, the Iron Islands, and the North. 

However, Rhaenyra fiercely rejected this offer, accusing her brothers of forfeiting their honor by stealing her birthright and murdering her sons. 

When Alicent dismissed the deaths as merely the loss of "bastard blood," Rhaenyra, enraged, threatened to cut out her tongue if she continued speaking of bastardy.

According to Mushroom, Rhaenyra's confidant Mysaria suggested a more brutal punishment: forcing Alicent and Helaena into prostitution in King’s Landing. Though this claim is disputed, when Helaena later committed suicide, Alicent cursed Rhaenyra, marking a tragic turn in their bitter rivalry.
