In The Death of Wolverine #1-4, written by Charles Soule ✍️ and illustrated by Steve McNiven 🎨, Logan faces his final days after losing his healing factor.

Stripped of his regenerative abilities, Wolverine is now mortal. When word gets out, a flood of old enemies, including Nuke, Viper, and Lady Deathstrike, come hunting.

Determined to confront his fate, Logan tracks down the man responsible for his adamantium-laced skeleton, Dr. Abraham Cornelius. The twisted scientist aims to replicate Wolverine’s powers using new test subjects.

In a heroic last stand, Logan destroys the lab and saves Cornelius’s captives. But he’s covered in molten adamantium, which hardens and encases him in a metallic shell.

With his final breath, Wolverine dies standing, a hero to the end. His death leaves a void in the Marvel Universe, but his legacy endures.
